Nothing compares to that holiday scent of a fresh cut Christmas tree! If you love having a real tree, Truckee has excellent local tree lots and tree farms where you can search out that perfect size and shape…from 10 foot tall Noble Firs, to that very special “Charlie Brown” tree that fits just perfectly in the corner by your family room fireplace…the lots and farms below have your tree waiting for you to come and find it. And don’t forget, after Christmas is over Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal will be offering curbside collection for your clean tree the week of January 16-20. Cut your tree in 3 foot sections and place next to your trash can on your regularly scheduled collection day. You can also drop your clean, undecorated tree off any time between December 26th and January 20 at Truckee Town Hall, Tahoe Donner Clubhouse, Glenshire Clubhouse or the High School Soccer Fields. Look for the TTSD bins and place the tree inside.
