On August 8, 1863 W. Taft surveyed and recorded land that is now known as Tahoe City. Situated on Lake Tahoe, this Placer County community lies at an elevation of 6250 feet. Tahoe City Days is a weekend long celebration of the city’s birth, although it wasn’t actually called Tahoe CITY until 1949.
This year you can celebrate from August 5th to August 8th 2016 by participating in one or more of the many events happening in the community. Stop by and get caught up in a parade, scavenger hunt, poker run, pub crawl or learn more about the area from one of the historical walking tours.
